We’re recruiting: Stockroom Community Board Members

Do you want to help shape what goes on at Stockroom?

We are inviting expressions of interest from people who want to join our new Stockroom Community Board and bring their experience, insight and voice to our town’s creative and community space at the heart of the high street.

Stockroom is made of, with and for the people of Stockport. We want our communities to shape our programme, events and activities that take place at Stockroom.

Can you communicate openly, honestly and with respect? Provide challenge, advice, lived experience and constructive input? Do you want to shape the direction of our programmes and our audience priorities. Then this is for you.

The strength of our Board comes from its people.

You don’t need to be a professional. We are interested in people who care about their community and want to help make a positive difference. We are saving 2 places on the board for people who are not professionals in the arts or culture.

If that sounds like you, or somebody you know, we would love to hear from you.

The Board will meet 4 times a year for a 2-hour meeting. You will be paid a stipend of £30 for each meeting.

We ask for commitment for 4 meetings when you join.

Complete our form to register your interest in joining the Board. Deadline 12th October 2026.

To find out more, come to our Creative Networking event at Stockroom 3.00 - 5.00pm on 1st October. Book here or just drop in. Email stockroom@stockport.gov.uk with any questions.

If you require support to complete the form, please contact: stockroom@stockport.gov.uk or call 07356138783 for support or to submit a voice note application.
