The initial ideas phase of the project will begin with 100 activity booklets provided through a number of local libraries, with drawing prompts and questions to encourage creative thinking and storytelling. We’ll also run collaborative workshops with local community groups.
Both artwork generated from these and the booklets will help inform the final design of the mural. Until then, the design is relatively unknown! But hopefully it will evolve to something full of unique characters and buildings of all shapes and sizes, reflecting the children’s own imaginations.
The art created from the booklets and the workshops, will also be collected and compiled into a beautifully hand bound book, to be added to the library collection; a celebration of the children’s idea’s coming to life in their very own publication!
