The Marvel From Marple Tile Workshop with Alison Waters

Sunday 05 July 2026 - From 1:00pm

Join Ceramic artist Alison Waters in an afternoon workshop celebrating the work of Marple's marvel... Alan Boyson! Begin the session creating a beautiful paper collage exploring the shapes and textures of Boyson's brutalist car park screen. After a break for refreshments, learn how to apply photographic transfers onto a ceramic surface and create your own beautiful 20 x 20 cm tile which will be ready for collection once it has been through the kiln.

This is presented by Stockroom as part of a programme of events & activities surrounding the Marvel from Marple Exhibition. See all our other The Marvel from Marple activity here.

The Marvel from Marple is funded by the Henry Moore Foundation and Stockroom, and developed in partnership with Stockport Council and Sheffield Hallam University.
