The Marvel From Marple Ring Wax Carving Workshop with AREESHA

Sunday 13 September 2026 - From 11:00am

Join a wax carving workshop where you will be given a full demonstration and the opportunity to use different tools to make your own unique wax mould for a ring. This class is led by AREESHA – a jeweller based in Manchester.

Beginner friendly, no previous experience needed.

This workshop will be a little different. It will include an introduction to the fundamental techniques of wax carving, but we will begin the class with seeing Alan Boyson's work - a concrete screen wall with cut-out holes which surrounds the Merseyway car park.

You will be given full demonstration and guidance on how to wax carve and create your very own ring with intricate details and shapes.

After the workshop, your wax ring will be cast in solid recycled silver, polished, then posted directly back to you in approx 4-6 weeks.

The workshop will run 11am-3pm.
